this is a great question and the answer can be somewhat complex however
best to use the “K.I.S (Keep it simple) principle here. During fasting
to achieve any kind of results the minimum fast would be for at least 13
hours which is quite easy to accomplish this is where your body will
start to initiate certain programs that will help rid your body of
nasties like heavy metals, diseased cells, initiate growth hormones,
autophagy, stem cell product to name just a small group of items it will
also help reduce weight due to the fact that now you’re not having any
sugar or insulin spikes and of course it can help reduce high blood
sugar issues and sometimes even cure it. As to how many hours you fast
for as I said above the minimum required to really gain any benefits
would be 13 hours when your new to fasting this is the best time frame
to start with try this for a week then move up to 14 hour fasting again
do this for about a week then try 15 hour fasts and so on and so on
until you get to around 23 - 24 hour fasts or even longer but
intermittent usually only involves up to 23 hour fasts some people even
go 36 , 48, and 72 hours but this should only be done maybe at most once
a month or every 1/4. So most of us not in the know also fast it’s just
that we don’t call it that, as we’ve never really sat down and thought
about the topic very much, a fast is just the time between two meals. So
if you last ate at 7 pm and didn’t eat again till 6 am the following
morning that’s an 11 hour fast. So now all we really need to do is just
reduce the eating times so to go to a 12 hour fast we maybe stop eating
around 6 pm - 6 am then the following week maybe go forward one hour
till 7 am now you’ve got a 13 hour fast this will work out well as your
body adjusts to not eating during these longer periods. Then once you’ve
allowed your body to adjust you can vary your fast up during the week
maybe a couple of 14 hour fasts then a couple of 16 hour fast maybe one
18 hour fast, one 20 hour fast then finish with a 23 or 24 hour fast at
the end of the week this variation is great for programming your body to
